No Direction Home — An incredible first year

PopChange

The first year of our No Direction Home stand-up comedy project, with Camden People’s Theatre and led by Tom Parry, climaxed with a brilliant gig at Southbank Centre during Refugee Week.

With guest headliners Romesh Ranganathan and Suzi Ruffell, the emerging comedians in the group, most of whom had never done stand-up until last autumn, put on a superb performance for a sold-out crowd.

There were also Refugee Week performances at the Migration Museum & Queens Park Book Festival – and the group will have performed 10 gigs by the time they visit the Edinburgh Festival this summer. Guest headliners along the way have included Nish Kumar, Lou Sanders and Joel Dommett – many thanks to all of them for their performances and thoughtful advice.

What’s Next

The group will continue to develop their skills at performances and open mic nights after the summer, and a call out will be issued for a new group to start their own journey in comedy.

Join our mailing list or follow the group on Facebook to keep up to date with upcoming performances and opportunities.
